Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, we have already raised enough funding for one full bus, 48 cadets, to travel to Washington, D.C. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by our families, community members, and local businesses.

However, we are still working to raise the remaining funds needed so that the other 17 cadets in our program can also attend and be part of this historic experience.

Kingsley High School’s NJROTC Stag Battalion (65 Cadets strong) has been given an incredible honor: our cadets have been invited to march in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. This prestigious event honors the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, and being selected to participate is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students.

While in Washington, cadets will have the chance to experience history firsthand. The trip will include educational visits to the United States Capitol, the solemn grounds of Arlington National Cemetery, and many other historic landmarks and memorials that bring our nation’s story and sacrifices to life. For many of our cadets, this will be their first opportunity to visit our nation’s capital.

This trip is more than just travel; it is an opportunity for our cadets to represent our community, honor fallen service members, and deepen their understanding of leadership, service, and citizenship.

We are continuing our fundraising efforts to help cover transportation, lodging, and educational tour costs so that every cadet who wishes to participate has the opportunity to attend. Any support from community members, local businesses, and organizations will help make this experience possible.

The cost per cadet is $1,138. If you would like to sponsor a cadet, we will proudly place your logo on our unit banner that will be carried by our cadets during the parade in Washington, D.C.

Any additional funds raised will go to the Kingsley NJROTC General Fund and will be used to support future training opportunities such as JCLC, Mini Boot Camp, overnight ship training, Sea Perch Team, Naval Leadership Academies, sailing academies, competitions, our drone team, marksmanship team, events, and uniforms for cadets.
