The Maumee High School Football program is hosting its 3rd Annual Lift-A-Thon to highlight the importance of our off-season strength program. All funds raised will directly benefit the student-athletes in the 2026 Maumee Football Program.

Purpose

The Lift-A-Thon serves as a major fundraiser to help our program purchase Player Practice Packs for the upcoming season. Funds raised will also support the significant costs associated with operating a championship-level football program, including:

- Essential equipment purchases and reconditioning

- Annual helmet and shoulder pad replacement and maintenance

- Ongoing equipment upgrades

- Weight room improvements

- Speed and performance training equipment

- Football equipment is a constant and necessary expense. Helmets and shoulder pads must be reconditioned each year to maintain warranties and ensure player safety, and older gear must regularly be taken out of service and replaced.

Recent Program Investments

As we continue building a true sprint-based football program, we have invested in tools that help maximize player development, health, and safety. Recent purchases include:

- Guardian Caps to reduce helmet impact during practice

- Additional Titan GPS vests to monitor player health and performance

- OVR velocity and speed tracking devices to accurately measure athletic output

- An Aerial Attack Throwing Machine to increase quality repetitions

- FreeLap Timing System

- GoRout Scout Card System Devices

- Continued expansion of our team snack pantry to fuel players throughout the school year

- We have continued adding to these resources this year to create an environment that helps our athletes stay healthy, confident, and successful.

2026 Funding Priorities

With your support, we hope to continue improving the health, safety, and performance of our student-athletes by investing in:

- Additional weight room and speed training equipment

- Updated on-field practice equipment, including a new one-man sled and upgraded practice pads

- A practice clock to help us stay on schedule and maximize efficiency during practice

- Ongoing helmet and shoulder pad replacement and reconditioning

- Growth of our snack pantry

- In-season laundry services for uniforms and gear to promote hygiene and player health

Event Description

Each participant will seek sponsors to donate toward their Lift-A-Thon performance.

Athletes will max out in the following lifts:

- Bench Press

- Squat

- Power Clean

- Deadlift

The total weight lifted across all four exercises will be used to calculate pledge donations.

Supporters may give:

- A flat donation in any amount, or

- A per-pound pledge

Example:
If an athlete lifts a total of 1,000 pounds:

A $0.05 per pound pledge = $50 donation

A $0.10 per pound pledge = $100 donation

Goals:

- Each athlete will set a personal goal for every lift

- Raise funds to help Maumee Football continue competing for a league championship
