Why We Need Your Support:

Is your life goal to support the dreams and aspirations of young female athletes in America? Do you hope to one day look back at your life and say, "I could have spent a lot of money at Starbucks on coffee, but instead, I decided to support a young lady on a local high school basketball team. No, this young lady wasn't Caitlin Clark, but she did like and look up to Caitlin Clark, so that is pretty much the same thing as saying I supported Caitlin Clark and helped make her who she is today." If that is you, you were directed to the perfect place. And if not, you stumbled into the right place anyway.

The Utica Girls Basketball program is once again looking to raise funds to offset various program costs and expenses for this season, and we are looking for "America's most generous people" to accomplish that goal. 

Your generosity will allow us to:

- Buy year-end awards that are given to players at each level at our end of season banquet (plaques, trophies, framed jerseys for graduating seniors, etc.)

- Pay for photo banners that are hung in the gym to improve the atmosphere and provide some home court advantage for home games.

- Purchase team gear such as sweatshirts, practice jerseys, shooting shirts, and so on so the girls look like a unified unit. 

- Pay our awesome stat bookkeeper Dan "The Scorebook Man" Rajnicek for road games and keep the other score keeper honest. Nothing ever gets past Dan, he's like a secret weapon for the program!

- Pay for scrimmages, team outings and other events that the team participates in throughout the season

- And many more exciting things!

Just like last year, you will have two options for how you choose to support the team:

1. You can do a one time, flat donation to support the team 

-or

2. You can press your luck and pledge to support a player (or coach) on a per shot basis in our "Money for Middies" shooting challenge, where the player will shoot mid range jump shots (12-15ft away from the basket) for 5 minutes, constantly on the move, trying to make as many shots as possible. So, for example, if Coach Jay and Bry's sister said, "My brothers are terrible at basketball! I am going to save money and pledge $1 per made shot for that silly Money for Middies challenge!" she would unfortunately be disappointed that she forgot that in their younger days, the driveway at the house was only about 15 feet wide at sections around the basketball hoop and so that distance is muscle memory engrained in their bodies! So make sure you know your shooter before you do your pledging.

Also once again this year, for anyone that donates $25 or more (and remembers to fill out this form after making their donation) will get an exclusive 2025-2026 Utica Girls Basketball program T-shirt. And remember not to donate "anonymously" if you would like to receive a t-shirt, as we need to be able to confirm the information on the form. A lot of people were disappointed that they weren't able to be recognized as part of the Cool Kids Club last year, so don't miss let the opportunity pass you by this season.
